about

ExoNova, forged by the light-hearted and cosmic mind of Ryan Alvarado, is a spacious, melodic, heavy, and ambient electronic album inspired by video games, soundtracks, heavy metal, and modern synthesis. Taking inspiration from artists such as Jack Wall, Children of Bodom, Dream Theater, and video games like Metroid, Gradius, Mario, Zelda, and Halo, Ryan has constructed nine independent conceptual songs that are sure to remind you of your childhood, get you rocking out while thinking about the meaning of life.

About Ryan Alvarado:
Ryan—guitarist, bassist, drummer, and synthesist—has been composing heavy metal for over a decade. Understanding that there have been only a handful of great metal-electronic hybrids, Ryan set out to create an epic album full of intense electronic melodies that had planted roots in the metal genre. By combining these metal foundations with modern electronic syntehsis and engineering, you're left with ExoNova, the first of many albums to come.
